How to Take a Screenshot in Chromebook

A quick way of showing the issue that you are having on your Chromebook device is by sending us the screenshots of your settings or the error messages that you are getting.

To take a screenshot on your Chromebook device, please refer to the steps below.


Capturing the Entire Screen

  1. Please ensure that the windows (with the details that you require) are active and can be seen clearly on the screen.
  2. Press the Ctrl key + Window Switcher   key simultaneously.

  3. The screen will flash white for a split second and a popup message will appear to notify its success (or failure) .
  4. Click on the popup message to open the Chrome OS file manager. All screenshots are saved as .PNG files, and stored in the Downloads/Screenshots folder.


Capturing a Specific Area of the Screen

 

  1. Please ensure that the windows (with the details that you require) are active and can be seen clearly on the screen.
  2. Press the Ctrl key + Shift key + Window Switcher  key simultaneously, and select the area that needs to be captured using the cursor.

  3. The screen will flash white for a split second and a popup message will appear to notify its success (or failure) .
  4. Click on the popup message to open the Chrome OS file manager. All screenshots are saved as .PNG files, and stored in the Downloads/Screenshots folder.
