Modified on: Fri, 27 Oct, 2017 at 6:09 PM

To change the region for your Smart TV, please follow the instructions below:

(2012 E Model)

Press the smart button on your remote.
You will be presented with the Smart Hub on your TV, then you will need to press each of the following keys on your TV remote once: fast forward, 2, 8, 9, rewind

The Internet Service Location Setup will appear. If you wish to download UK apps such as BBC iPlayer, ITV, etc select United Kingdom. If you wish to access US apps such as Hulu plus, etc select United States.
You will need to agree to the terms of service after you've selected the region.

Click Next.
Once you have agreed to the terms, the smart hub will need to be updated (Please take note that the Smart Hub will delete all the region restricted applications from the TV.)
Once all the region restricted apps have been deleted, the Smart Hub will then install all the current region apps.
If you notice any missing apps on the Hub, they can be downloaded via the Samsung apps button.
Then, the Smart TV will prompt a system update if there's a new update.

Continue with the system update and the apps should be presented in the Smart TV.

You will begin the on-screen setup that you completed when you first bought the Smart TV. Information that is entered previously will not be deleted.
Continue through the on-screen setup until you arrive at the Smart Hub Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy page in the on-screen setup.

Now, press the following keys in sequence: Mute, Return, Volume up, Channel up, Mute.

The Internet Service Location setup screen will be presented to you. If you wish to download UK apps such as BBC iPlayer, ITV, etc select United Kingdom. If you wish to access US apps such as Hulu Plus, etc select United States.
Then, the Smart TV will prompt a system update if there's a new update.

Continue with the system update and the apps should be presented in the Smart TV.

Any Problems?

Unfortunately it doesn't always go to plan!

If you are unable to complete the setup and the process fails halfway, please set Google DNS (8.8.8.8) on your Smart TV network settings before attempting this again.
