What is your most secure protocol?

Modified on: Wed, 13 Jul, 2016 at 4:08 PM

Our most secure protocol is an enhanced security OpenVPN configuration that we run on UDP port 4096. We do not recommend it for most users as it will be updated and therefore changed more often than our normal connections, also the additional encryption overhead can slow down the connection, but it is available for any users that wish to use it.

The key aspects of the current configuration are:

4096 bit key length

Data packet authentication using SHA 256 bit

Data packet encryption using AES256 bit

We consider this to be the best trade off between speed and security.
